Working with Artmann Communications‘ design, we coded the HTML and CSS and then developed the Thurber Engineering website with ExpressionEngine.

Moda Website

Originally, Moda had a Flash-based website that they weren’t able to update themselves and which wasn’t receiving any search engine traffic. We redid their site in HTML and CSS and put it on top of ExpressionEngine for easy site maintenance.

Priddis, Alberta

Priddis is a small community of ranchers and commuters located in the foothills southwest of Calgary. The Priddis Community Association wanted an updated, modern look for their home on the web as well as a site that would be easy to maintain by its group of volunteers. Shadow Box designed the new site and placed it on top of ExpressionEngine for easy updates.

The Friends of Banff National Park is a non-profit charitable organization, committed to increasing awareness and appreciation of the natural and cultural heritage of Banff National Park. We sliced and coded Natalie Talbot’s beautiful design and set it on top of ExpressionEngine.

Raincoast Books is an award-winning Canadian book distributor based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Teaming up once again with Boxcar Marketing and Player Industries, Shadow Box developed the new Raincoast website, providing the XHTML, CSS, and Javascript and then placing everything on top of ExpressionEngine.

What We Do
We Help Non-Profits Succeed on the Web
Shadow Box has been helping Calgary-area non-profits succeed on the web since 2003. In fact, since that time, we have been the only web company that has focused on working with Calgary’s non-profit sector.
We Give New Businesses a Leg Up
We like for-profits, too, and we often set up template-based websites for new/small businesses. Template-based websites save start-ups capital and get them online quickly.
We Code for Other Companies
We play well with others, so web and graphic designers — who like to design sites but hate coding them — turn to Shadow Box for affordable, standards-compliant XHTML & CSS and quick turnarounds. Did we mention we do Content Management Systems? No? Well, we’re pros.
We Promote Independent Book Publishers
And, in case you think the web is our only passion, it’s not! Shadow Box is a poetry-friendly web developer, and we want to help book publishers spend less time updating their websites, and more time promoting their books and authors.
